Matt Corby USA ‘23

The USA was the third run of the year for the Matt Corby crew. Some band and crew from EU run carried over into USA and were joined by US locals for TM & Bass.

The tour started in Los Angeles and then dipped up into Canada for two Toronto shows. A fly date tour; the crew, luggage and carnet then flew back down to the USA for shows in New York, Nashville, Austin, back to Los Angeles, then Seattle and finishing up at The Fonda Theatre in San Francisco.

Drummer Mikey Haydon has relocated to Nashville so played his first ‘hometown’ show before settling in.

The tour had a challenging start due to a case of covid for the TM and laryngitis for Corby. One show had to be cancelled but thankfully the remainder were a success thanks to specialist US doctors and their miracle meds, and diligent rest from Corby. 

Special mention to Charles Stoltz who managed to run a beautiful sounding show in each venue on local consoles, building a new file in soundcheck each day.
